Making things is just the best thing to me. I love to build things layer by layer. I find that some products keep making their way back into my art time after time.
One of my all time favorite artists is Tim Holtz. His inks, stains, paints, stamps, embellishments, papers, grunge board, etc, etc. are amazing, I could go on and on.
One of the things that makes his products so special is they look great on your project and are easy to work with while making things. They are also adaptable and really timeless.
1. My Very Favorite: Distress Stain.
Below is a picture of one of my canvases I used Distress stain on top of Tim Holtz crackle paint to give it a mossy look. You can layer the distress stains and they don’t get all muddy. The textures underneath also pick up the stain. This is just a great versatile product.
In this tag I used the white Picket Fence Distress Stain over Iced Spruce Distress Ink to make it look frosty. Then edged it with another Distress Ink Vintage Photo
I know to most crafters this is info is old news. But I wanted to share with people who haven’t used these products that they are not just for scrapbooks.
